Curtis Knight

Curtis Knight (Mont Curtis McNear,*1939 - 1999) has been credited with the discovery of the 20th century's best guitar player (MusicMaker Magazine) Jimi Hendrix, in 1964. What is less known through the media is that Curtis Knight also was a prolific song writer and producer. His life path brought him from Fort Scott, Kansas, via California to New York, Japan and finally to Europe.

Curtis was married to Annette Sieger in Amsterdam in the early '90s. They settled down in Lelystad-Haven, Flevoland, a relatively new Dutch city which is located below sea-level in a park-like environment. This is where Curtis and Martin met, and where for almost an entire year both artists co-wrote and co-produced many songs.

Curtis labeled this period 'the passing of the torch", which culminated in the second production of the song 'The Story Of Life', based on the lyrics by Jimi Hendrix and the later music provided by Curtis Knight. The ongoing, extraordinary and controversial circumstances that surround this song are being documented for the first time in 'The Story Of Life' Multi-Media Project.
